Frequently Asked Questions

  • Gluten-free Vacations is a travel agency that specializes in travel to the Caribbean, Mexico, Disney World, and cruises for those with celiac disease or a gluten-sensitivity.

I started Gluten-free Vacations in 2021 to help other gluten-free travelers plan stress-free vacations. When you work with me, you’ll get a custom proposal, travel tips, excursion recommendations, and more.

  • When you work with Gluten-free Vacations, you’ll get the following:

    • Vacation Proposal: Personalized proposal of 3-5 resorts or cruises to choose from based on your request

    • Booking Management: I’ll manage your resort or cruise booking, payment reminders, and I will notify the staff of your dietary needs prior to your arrival

    • Details: Airfare, transportation, travel insurance, and excursion recommendations & booking

    • My Travel Tips: You’ll get my tips specific to your destination and resort or cruise

    • Gluten-free Guide: You’ll receive a copy of my gluten-free travel guide

    • Custom Itinerary: You’ll get a custom digital vacation itinerary with the option to view your trip details online or in an app.

    • Document Package: A custom vacation package mailed to you with your itinerary, booking confirmations, gluten-free translation cards (if needed), vacation packing list, and more!

  • For new clients, I require a one-time $100 Planning Fee to start the planning process. This fee covers my time spent researching destination options and creating a customized proposal for you. I pride myself on providing the best service, resort, air, and destination recommendations

Step 1: Tell me all about your dream vacation!
Once you pay the planning fee, you can choose to either fill out a trip survey online or schedule a phone consultation. This allows me to get to know you and what your ideal vacation looks like. You’ll let me know your estimated trip dates, destinations you’re interested in, what activities you like to do, etc.

    Step 2: Customized Proposal
I’ll provide a custom proposal with 3-5 resort or cruise options based on your needs.

    Step 3: Reserve Your Vacation
I’ll book your resort or cruise and provide options for travel insurance, transportation, airfare, excursions, etc. Your resort or cruise must be booked through Gluten-free Vacations, however, other components can be booked on your own if you choose.

    Step 4: All the details!
Approximately 1 month prior to your trip, a custom vacation package will be mailed to you with your custom itinerary, booking confirmations, gluten-free translation cards (if needed), vacation packing list, and more. I’ll also contact your resort or cruise line to make sure they are aware of your dietary restrictions.

    Step 5: Vacation Time
It’s time to get ready for paradise! While you’re away, you’ll have my contact info in case you have any issues or questions.

  • I recommend a minimum of 6 months to plan your vacation. If you plan to travel during a major holiday, spring break, or are traveling with children, I recommend 9-12 months in advance.

Giving yourself more time will give you more resort and room options. Many of the family-friendly resorts I work with sell out months in advance.

  • Yes - I charge a one-time $100 planning fee. The planning fee covers my time, expertise, and personalized service that I provide as a travel advisor.

There are no additional fees after you pay the planning fee. My resort and cruise pricing typically matches or is better than what you would get direct.

My work is based on years of personal experience and professional expertise. I research cruises, hotels and tours to meet your specific needs, contact suppliers, coordinate transportation, and create custom itineraries.

By investing in my services, you're gaining a dedicated travel professional who will go above and beyond to create a memorable vacation for you.

  • Nope! Travel advisors provide custom vacations and save you time and money by doing the research for you.

Our rates are the same or better than what resorts and cruise lines offer directly, however, you also get personalized service by working with us.

  • Your resort and cruise reservation must be booked through Gluten-free Vacations so that we can provide assistance and manage your trip.

We also provide options for airfare, travel insurance, transportation, and excursions, however, you can book these components on your own if you choose too.
